Description

As the manager of the QA team that leads quality assurance for multiple products centered on our core product, you will be responsible for team management and for planning and promoting quality strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Management of QA team members (goal setting, evaluation, development, 1-on-1 meetings, etc.)
  • Formulation and promotion of QA strategies and roadmaps
  • Design and improvement of quality control processes throughout the SDLC, and promotion of test efficiency improvements
  • Formulation and execution promotion of test automation strategies
  • Improvement of overall organizational quality through sharing and resolving quality issues in collaboration with stakeholders, including Development and SRE
  • QA team hiring activities (hiring plans, interviews, onboarding)
  • Budget and resource management

Organizational Structure

The planned assignment is to the JPN-QA team within the Innovation & Engineering Headquarters.
There is an IND-QA team at the India base, and work will be carried out in cooperation with managers at other locations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of team management experience
  • At least 5 years of web-related testing / QA experience
  • Experience in test planning, design, and execution as a QA engineer
  • Experience introducing and promoting test automation
  • Knowledge and experience in software quality management
  • Japanese: Business level
  • English: Daily Conversation level or above

Preferred Experiences

  • Experience launching a QA team or scaling an organization
  • Hands-on experience in test automation using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
  • Experience integrating and operating tests in CI/CD environments
  • Experience in web application development (backend or frontend)
  • Management experience in a startup or agile environment
  • Experience collaborating with global teams across different time zones and cultures

Salary

Approximately 8M-12M JPY (based on skills & experience)

Location

Work location will be determined after confirming preferences.
Depending on job duties, flexible working styles are available, including remote work and office attendance.
